A day in the quiet town of Daphne is anything but average. From bay views to southern charm, Daphne has it all. With a rich history and love for the outdoors the residents of Daphne will make you feel at home when you visit.

Running alongside Mobile Bay, this bayside town is known for its amazing views and quaint atmosphere. Start your day off with a short stroll around Bayfront Park. This park takes you on a fun nature hike with winding boardwalks, scenic views, and exciting stops to watch wildlife around the water. You may even see an alligator or two! The end of the short hike rewards you with a trip down an open pier overlooking the Mobile Bay. Bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic on the soft sands along the beach area.

Now you will probably be hungry from your nature walk. It is time to eat and WOW does Daphne have some amazing restaurants to choose from! Take your pick from some of the South’s finest seafood restaurants or excite your taste buds with a taste of Southern-style home cooking. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. After lunch, enjoy shopping around downtown Daphne at unique locally-owned boutiques. Stop in the Daphne History Museum, in the 2nd oldest church in Baldwin County, and learn about the history of Daphne and the surrounding communities. Learn about Daphne’s rich history and coastal feel when you talk to locals in some of the town’s oldest businesses that line Main Street.

Are you up for a game of pickleball or tennis? The newly constructed recreational park in the heart of downtown offers multiple tennis and pickleball courts for the public to play. Make sure to pack your rackets, as this has become a trending spot for locals and visitors to gather.

Now that you have worked up an appetite it is time to grab dinner with a view at one of the many restaurants in town. Eat in the downtown area and enjoy live music, friendly faces, and specialty drinks or choose a more scenic view and head up to the bluff to eat along the Mobile Bay. Finish the evening with drinks at Le Bouchon Wine Bar or Downtown Cigars both located on Main Street.

Enjoy a relaxing time in The Jubilee City and do not forget to take in the view of the bay.
