Mobile Bay is the country’s 4th largest estuary. It measures 31 miles long and 24 miles wide at its largest point. The Mobile, Spanish, Tensaw, Apalachee & Blakeley Rivers feed the bay from north and Weeks Bay’s Fish and Magnolia Rivers feed it from the east.

Launch your own boat from one of the many public boat launches along the Eastern Shore. Or head out with fishing guide Captain Dan Kolenich. He’s been guiding fishing trips for 20 years and specializes in saltwater fly fishing in northern Mobile Bay & the Mobile-Tensaw Delta.

Boat Tours

Kayaking

Paddlers can launch at the Fairhope Docks Marina, Weeks Bay or at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center to discover a diverse network of waterways with plenty of biodiversity and wildlife. Bartram Landing at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center offers state-of-the-art ADA accessible launch for paddlers of all abilities.

Set out on a wild adventure along the Alabama Canoe Trail, an entire canoe and kayak trail system throughout the Delta. The Bartram Trail in the Delta includes several shelter locations you can reserve for overnight stays.
