A City of Spirit

Welcome to Spanish Fort

Spanish Fort is a young city with a rich heritage. It’s located just off of Interstate-10, east of Mobile, Alabama.

Spanish Fort is a dream for outdoorsmen, with access to the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, known as America’s Amazon for its rich wildlife diversity.

Take advantage of one of the many boat launches or kayaking trails to explore the great outdoors.

5 Rivers Delta Resource Center is also located in Spanish Fort, providing a free gateway to the Delta. The state park offers miles of nature trails, canoe and kayak launch, educational exhibits and event space.

Spanish Fort is also the perfect place to explore history. The site played a role in both the American Revolution and the Civil War. Historic plaques dot the city’s streets, especially in the Spanish Fort Estates neighborhood marking key locations from the Battle of Spanish Fort.

At the Historic Blakeley State Park you can tour original breastwork still standing from the Battle of Fort Blakeley. The park is also home to remnants of the early Alabama town of Blakeley; colonial-era homesteads and evidence of American Indian habitation.

You’re also just minutes from the USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park. This WWII battleship serves as a floating museum depicting life aboard a WWII era warship. Visitors can also tour the USS DRUM submarine and check out the Aircraft Pavilion.

Spanish Fort also offers great shopping opportunities with local favorites and popular national brands at two shopping centers, the Eastern Shore Centre and the Spanish Fort Town Center.

Take advantage of all that Spanish Fort has to offer.
